Job Description

Manage Operator/Instrumentists and Assistant Operators to operate the Doha South and Industrial Area Waste Water Treatment Plants according to the O&M plan, work instructions and procedures
Assist with the data input on the Computerised Operational Management System (SAXO)
Report to the Operation Manager and interface with O&M teams about the daily business
Identify and control plant problems promptly
Coordinate with the Operation team, and performs regular process checks
Perform any duties of the Process Engineer and IA In-Charge when required
Respect and adhere to any specific request from Management
Work overtime when required and instructed by Management
Responsible for excellent housekeeping at all times
Perform any reasonable duty/instruction from Management
Adhere, respect and ensure the adherence to the company Occupational Health, Safety and environment policy and procedures at all times

Qualifications

Experience

· Accredited and recognized diploma (preferentially in chemical or environment) or equivalent is required

· Minimum 5 years of relevant practical experience in waste water treatment plant operations

Knowledge of:

· Good spoken and written English is a must

· SCADA utilization,

· Mechanical and electrical equipment, water quality monitoring instruments

· Basic laboratory analyses (Temperature, conductivity, pH, TSS, etc.)

Skill in:

· Organization of his work and work in team

· Diagnosis and corrective action of process problems

Ability to:

· Understand and determine causes of malfunctions

· Work overhead and in confined space

· Understand and follow oral and written instructions

· Read PID, technical diagrams and drawing, analysis reports

· Good condition and cleanliness of his work space

· Absenteeism and other safety indicators

· Good cooperation with the other skills and operation
