Job Summary
Associate Medical Physicist work under the supervision of a licensed medical physicist. The Medical
Physicist oversees the all medical physics related aspects essential in running the Oncology Hospital. Some of the duties include; radiation protection, Physics QA program, dosimetry, treatment planning, commissioning of new equipment and training of other staff. The scope of the job function involves a central role in providing technical assistance in the development of treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy, implementing new technologies in the clinic, maintaining established policies, procedures and objectives, quality measurements, and safety. The medical physics team is involved in teaching and advising other staff on new technologies and modalities being implemented in the Radiation Oncology Hospital. The physics team is also involved in the investigation of potentials and pit-falls of the new development and techniques, with research where required.
Essential Education:
Masters of Sciences in Medical Physics or related discipline
Essential Experiance:
1-3 years experience in Medical Physics
