The purpose of this role is to assist and lead with the audiological evaluation under minimal supervision.
- Evaluate hearing of patients with ear abnormalities and/or auditory disorders through case history
- Clinical observation and diagnostic tests of auditory function, including physiologic testing (OAEs, AABR, ABR, immittance audiometry, acoustic reflex), speech discrimination tests, Speech in noise test and basic vestibular assessment tests.
- Behavioural testing, conventional audiometry (BOA, VRA, CPA).
- Performs hearing screening of children in schools and health centres
- Rehabilitation services including hearing aid selection, fitting, orientation and counseling (provides ear mold fitting for purposes of hearing protection and hearing aid).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including test results, treatment plans, and correspondence with referring physicians and other healthcare providers
- Determines communication problems related to hearing disability.
- Performs other duties assigned.
The candidate must have experience in the field of Audiology, especially having sound knowledge and experience in the field of Hearing Aid (fitting and programming)
